groupSTART is an event specifically aimed at starting new small groups.

During this 2-week event we create a fun, relationally focused environment where new small groups can get started. From there, each small group can launch out and begin meeting on its own.

Night 1: Thursday, September 11th
- Participants meet their new group
- Eat dinner together
- Play a few interactive games that allows group members to get to know one another

Night 2: Thursday, September 18th
- Eat dinner together
- The Small Groups staff will help guide the facilitator selection process and discuss the next steps details for your new group to continue meeting.

Most tables will have 10-12 people seated at them

We use the information provided by participants in the registration forms (age, preferred group-type, geography, etc.) to form groups ahead of time.

Because groupSTART is primarily relational and conversation-based (as opposed to content-based), we do expect participants to contribute to the conversations.  But don’t worry - we try to make it easy to participate.

While the event is designed for participants to attend both, we understand that some people are unable to attending both nights.  If you are not going to be able to attend a certain night, that’s ok! Just indicate which night you won’t be attending when you are completing your registration.

Yes, dinner will be provided. And yes, childcare will be provided from infants through 4th grade.

Registration for groupSTART is open August 1 - 31.

We have a waitlist available, but we do not guarantee a spot.

This fee helps offset the cost for the two meals you will eat and the cost of childcare during the event.
