The Bible says in Deuteronomy 6:5-9: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates.
At Kids Live we take safety and security seriously and we do everything in our power to provide a place for your children that is not just fun, but secure and meaningful. We also take our job to heart because research shows that a person's moral foundation is generally established by the age of nine and that a majority of Americans make a lasting decision about the personal significance of Christ's death and resurrection by the time they are 12. If you add to this startling statistic the realization that the average child who comes to church regularly will only spend 40 hours per year in church, you can understand why we place such importance on our children's ministry. We know we must be strategic in our charge to teach the truth of God's Word since our time is limited and the stakes are so high.
One of our greatest strategies in accomplishing this divine commission is to partner with the parents. Since we only have the kids for 40 hours and parents typically have their children for the other 1460 hours of free time a year, we want to make the most by combining our efforts. Parents can impact their children with God's Word from the moment they get up in the morning until the time they rest their heads on the pillow at night. For that reason, we encourage parents to serve in our Children's Ministry so that we can, together, invest in our children's spiritual development and future.
