Our Local History
Calvary Chapel formed as a fellowship in the Spring of 2000. Pastor Frank Ramseur and his wife Shawn moved from Fort Lauderdale Florida believing that God wanted a Calvary style fellowship in Chattanooga. The church began as a small home fellowship in the East Brainerd area. The small group grew and moved to the downtown YMCA in 2001. From 2001 to 2004 the church met at the Y until growth necessitated another move. In the Spring of 2004 the growing fellowship moved to the Memorial Auditorium. In December of 2008, we moved into our first permanent home on South Broad Street.
Today Calvary Chapel is home to over 900 believers who desire to know God more and make Him known more!
